CATERING

Catering may be provided by any licensed and insured caterer of your choosing. The Rivery will provide recommendations, but renters are welcome to choose the caterer of their choice. Catering may be buffet style, family style or plated, and may depend on the capabilities of your chosen caterer. We also encourage food trucks or non-traditional caterers if that fits your style.

BAR & BEVERAGE CATERING

Due to The Rivery not being a licensed beverage caterer, all alcoholic beverages are required to be served at no cost to guests. We require renters to hire Valley Liquor Beverage Catering for all events that serve alcoholic beverages. Where can we have our wedding ceremony?

Ceremonies can be located inside The Rivery or outside in the grass overlooking the Fox River Navigation Canal.

Are tables and chairs included in the rental?

Yes, black farmhouse tables and black folding chairs are included in the rental. Tables do not require linens if not desired.

Is there on-site parking?

Yes, parking is free! There are over 75 parking spaces available in the parking lot adjacent to the building as well as free street parking available if overflow is needed.

Are there dressing rooms on site for the bride and groom?

The Rivery has a bridal suite and groom's loft for the bridal party and families to use. The bridal suite includes four makeup stations, a dry bar with a full-size fridge, ample fire-lit seating and dining space, a fitting room and a bathroom in the space. The groom's loft is inside the venue space and includes seating, a dry bar and a changing area for the groom and groomsmen to get ready.

When can we rehearse?

Rehearsal will tentatively take place on Thursday evenings for weekend weddings, unless we have a Thursday event booked in which case we will schedule another time with you. Rehearsal time will be from 4 to 6pm for Friday weddings and 6 to 7pm for Saturday weddings. Weekday weddings will be the day before the scheduled event if event schedule permits.

What times do we have access on the day of our event?

Bridal suite access is self-guided at 9am, and the venue and groom's loft will open at 11am on the day of your event. A Rivery staff member will be on-site at 11am. Rental ends at 11pm.

Will there be Rivery staff available during my event?

Yes, at least one Rivery staff member will be on-site throughout your event to assist with facilities maintenance. However, The Rivery staff are not event planners and if ample setup is required for your event, we do recommend hiring a day-of coordinator for your event.

Are pets allowed?

Yes! Pets are allowed inside the venue, but not inside the bridal suite. We require pets to be leashed at all times when outside because the venue is in a commercial area with car traffic nearby. We also encourage a pet caretaker for the day, either someone hired or a family member or friend to watch your pet at all times.
